Widely recognised as the oldest rum producer in the world (1703) Mount Gay Rum has been hand-crafted at the same location in Barbados for more than 300 years, using a unique production process to please the palate of connoisseurs the world over.This Eclipse bottling has lots of fans, and is a good one to try if you think all rum is unrefined and over-sweet. It was created in Barbados in 1910 and it is believed that the name was selected to celebrate a total eclipse of the sun that occurred in that year.
