The Silkies (or Selkies) of Donegal are legendary shape-shifters, beautiful sea-maidens with long dark hair, deep soulful brown eyes and enchanting voices that were nearly irresistible to any man.
The Silkie is inspired by these sirens of the sea and it has been blended to be exceptionally smooth, with a fresh yet rich character and elegant finish. A testament to the blenders art.
Presented in a tall elegant bottle with labeling that reflects the colours of the Wild Atlantic when viewed from the cliffs at Sliabh Liag and is sealed with a classic cork stopper, a confident reflection of the modern Donegal Gaeltacht.
TASTING NOTES
Colour straw gold with hints of amber
Nose fresh and malty, brisk like green apples, opens to be more honeyed with a gentle butteryness
Taste super soft, honey to the fore, bright, hints of orange zest, digestive biscuits, brioche, butterscotch and stem ginger
Finish warming, elegant and gently melts away
