Pours cloudy orange with a thick, creamy off-white head. The smell is of lemon peel, tartness, and spicy sourdough. The taste is unique and complex. Tart lemon, spiced dough and a wine-like vinegar are all present, with a sharp hop bitterness. Only slight hints of alcohol are present. It's a wonderful sipping brew and a true world classic!

I've been drinking this beer for over 40 yrs now and for me it's still the best.
It matures well and nears it's best after about 6 months. It has a unique and full flavour which last from beginning to end. And you're also contributing to charity (via the abbey) by drinking it!

I think the above description is a bit poncy. I drank this beer warm as intended. This is a complex beer that is well balanced with a beautiful hoppy finish. It is not as sour as the description makes out and is very drinkable too. More please.
