COLONIA LAS LIEBRES BONARDA

This wine was made by Altos Las Hormigas with grapes from two vineyards which are planted solely with Bonarda. Having travelled and consulted on winemaking projects far and wide, winemaker Alberto Antonini is convinced that Bonarda has the potential to make better wines here in Argentina than anywhere else in the world, including in its native Italy. In fact, he refers to Bonarda as Argentina's 'other native grape variety'. Alberto‘s aim is to establish Colonia Las Liebres as the standard bearer for Bonarda.
TASTING NOTE
Deep red colour, with blackish hues and a nose of rose petals, plum and black pepper. The Bonarda has a velvety mouthfeel, with precise plum and berry flavours, and a lifted fresh finish.
