The classification of beer by style can lead to many a debate and argument amongst beer lovers and brewers with the lines of differentiation between certain styles crossing over each other and often becoming blurred. For help in assisting you choose a beer you may like, we have categorized our beers under the following headings Ales,Lagers & Stouts with subcategories of each outlined below.

TO SHOP BY BEER STYLE CHOOSE A CATEGORY OR SUB-CATEGORY BELOW:
Ales  Lagers Stouts 

Red/Amber Ale-Sweet caramel notes and citrusy aromas with smooth finish.

Pale Ale-Malty with floral hops (English), less malt more aggresive hops (American).

Blonde Ale-Smooth, bubblegum sweetness and balanced bitterness.

Brown Ale-Malt-driven flavour balanced with hints of caramel and chocolate.

India Pale Ale-Substantial weight and body with pronounced hoppy aroma and flavour.

Belgian Style Wit-Unfiltered ale with orange, citrus and coriander aroma.

Wheat Ale-wheat ale with unique clove and banana aromas sometimes unfiltered.

 

General Lager-Most popular style world-wide. Very refreshing and thirst quenching.

Pilsner-Pronounced hops aroma with bitterness and refreshing finish.

Amber/Dark Lager-Roasted, malty sweetness with well-balanced dry bitterness.

Marzen/Oktoberfest-Mildly hopped with complex malt character.

Bock-Rich, sweet caramels, often with warm, toasty flavours.

 

Stout- A malt and caramel flavour with a roasted bitterness.

Porter-Roasted flavour complemented by nutty and toffee characteristics.

Russian Imperial Stout & Porter-Very strong malt flavours, hints of dark fruits, chocolate, coffee & liquorice.  

 

Lambics/Sours-A category in its own right, fermented spontaneously with wild yeasts and sometimes fruit, usually dry, vinous and cidery with a slightly sour taste.
